Live and study for a week inside the Great Smoky Mountains National Park (GSMNP) this summer. This 3-credit (ANTH/FORS/RLST 4270/6270) experiential field-based program (August 8 to 14, 2011) is appropriate for students of all disciplines and for anyone with an interest in the natural and cultural history of the most visited national park in the country. You will gain skills to become a citizen scientist through hands-on, practical learning with a diverse and knowledgeable faculty and staff. The Park is our outdoor classroom and there will be a number of guided hikes, including the high country, during the week. The program fee is $391 plus summer tuition for 3 credits (HOPE applies) and all meals (except for two lunches), accommodations, and transportation are included. |
